World Cup: Public Prosecutor will sue FIFA for extra expenses

Public Officials in Brazil have revealed their intention to demand compensation to the public coffers of the amount spent on temporary structures for the World Cup. The prosecution did not put obstacles to the approval of the bill , on Tuesday, that releases tax incentives for temporary structures Beira Rio, but will process the club Internacional and FIFA to return the money invested in the works to the public coffers.

The prosecution believes that these obligations with temporary structures is the promoter of the event and that any public funds used to pay for these structures would have to be returned to the coffers of the state and the municipality – said Nilson de Oliveira Rodrigues Filho, DA promoter Justice Defense of Public Property, the seat of MP.

The action which will  be brought after the World Cup is not the first against FIFA in Brazil. In 2013, the state prosecution of six states that participated in the Confederations Cup triggered the entity for the same reason: compensation of public spending.

I fully agree with the Public Prosecutor but good luck to them.
